Alacrity Glass is a small business based in Eastern Washington, selling fused glass and mixed media products. Lisa and Tracy, the owners, started Alacrity as a retirement hobby and business. Lisa has just retired after 32 years as a public school teacher and Tracy is a Director of Grid Integration in the renewable energy industry.

Together, they enjoy hanging out with family, traveling, going to craft fairs, and exploring off-grid locations. When they are not adventuring, they are learning new techniques, trying new designs, and creating handmade glass pieces to sell at art shows and online. Both the owners love to talk to fellow art enthusiasts and get out to explore the art community.

What started with one kiln and some pieces of glass, has grown to include a total of 3 kilns, countless containers of frit, multiple molds, and many other fun additions to the studio. Each handmade piece of art made by Alacrity Glass primarily uses Bullseye Glass and a combination of fusing techniques to create the final product.

Since the glass comes in large sheets, making a piece of art requires measuring and cutting the glass to ultimately create the handmade designs. One of Alacrity Glass’ pieces can take days to complete highlighting the level of passion, creativity, and drive that goes into each design!

It is the hope of the owners that you find something from Alacrity Glass that calls out to you. Powered by the belief of “art for art’s sake,” every design tells a story and adds color to a space. Whether you have been collecting art for years or you are just starting, Alacrity Glass is honored to be a part of your art journey.
